Your Questions, Answered!

We know it can be a bit tricky to understand right off the bat what’s included in a maintenance plan. First, because it’s unlimited, and naturally, that might make you think everything’s covered (and no, it’s not quite like that). Second, every online store is unique, which means a wide range of situations can come up, and it’s important to know exactly what you’re signing up for—what’s covered and, most importantly, what isn’t. So, let’s dive in and break down this whole maintenance thing for PrestaShop and WordPress stores that you keep hearing about and that everyone seems to be getting…

Our maintenance services are unlimited in the sense that we don’t limit the hours we dedicate to each client’s account. Here’s why: over the years, we’ve specialized in PrestaShop and WordPress to the point that tasks that might take other agencies hours usually take us just minutes. This expertise allows us to offer truly unlimited maintenance for a fixed monthly fee. However, our maintenance services do have limits regarding the type of work included—not everything qualifies under maintenance.

Let’s look at it from another angle—I’ll tell you what’s not included:

Custom Development: Any custom programming work that requires altering the code of a module, theme, or the core of PrestaShop or WordPress is not included in the maintenance plan, nor is the time spent troubleshooting complex code issues. Generally, when a client reports an issue, we can identify the source about 95% of the time. However, in the rare cases where we need to dive deeper to identify code-related problems, we’ll reach out to you, explain what we’ve discovered, and, if further analysis is required, provide an estimate to resolve it (our custom development rates are very competitive).

Manual Content Management: If you need to import 500 products and only have them in a Word or PDF document, you’ll need to handle that import yourself, as that type of work is not covered. However, we can send you a template to fill out along with product images; with that in place, we’ll be able to import them for you at no additional cost. In short, we don’t handle manual data entry in your store—that’s up to you. But we can help you automate regular tasks without extra charges (as long as automation is feasible). This also applies to writing and content creation for your online store.

Our policy is simple: we don’t want unhappy clients. That’s why we’re proud to be the first company in the sector specializing in maintenance for PrestaShop and WordPress stores that does not require long-term contracts. You’re free to cancel from one month to the next, as the minimum commitment for our maintenance service is just one month from the start date.

To cancel, just give us 24 hours’ notice, and we’ll terminate the contract. Our mission is to make managing your store easier, supporting and assisting you every step of the way. We work hard to ensure you’re always satisfied with our services.

Not at all. Let’s be clear: we can’t finish setting up, designing, or configuring a store for a maintenance cost. Keep in mind that building a store from scratch with us involves a more significant investment. Just the time needed to complete such work would require additional costs far beyond what a maintenance plan covers.

The philosophy behind our maintenance service is that it’s a product designed specifically for online stores that are already up and running. These stores may have occasional issues, but they primarily need technical support for routine tasks, automation, and access to a reliable support channel to handle any future problems, questions, or configurations that may arise.

However, if this describes your situation and you need a complete online store, feel free to contact us. We’ll review your case together and provide a no-obligation quote to create your PrestaShop or WordPress store.

All communication with our technical department is handled through our support portal, using support tickets. Tickets are an extremely easy tool to use, as they operate via email and allow us to maintain a clear record of your account and store’s history.

You’ll always have access to all your support tickets, so you can review them anytime, even if you decide to discontinue the maintenance service.

Actually, we’re quite fast. Over the past year (2023), we’ve handled around 4,500 support tickets, with an average response time of under 24 hours.

Of course, response times can vary depending on the complexity of the issue—let’s just say, the bigger the challenge, the more time we might need to address it thoroughly.

If you’re expecting immediate responses or have a minimum response time in mind, this may not be the right service for you. I encourage you to find a support provider that offers guaranteed response times at this price. And if you find a more affordable option that meets these requirements, please let us know, and we’ll be happy to talk.

We use WhatsApp for friends and family, but not for work (it’s just too distracting). Yes, we know it’s super convenient to send a quick message and get a reply, but that method doesn’t allow us to properly track issues, prioritize tasks, or efficiently divide work among our team. So, WhatsApp is off the table.

As for phone calls, we reserve those strictly for discussing proposals, projects, and similar topics—not for technical support.

Here’s a clearer way to put it: We know that your store is your top priority, and you know what? It’s ours too. The best way to handle a serious issue is to submit an urgent ticket. A team member will respond, address it, and keep you updated. We promise that urgent matters are always treated with the highest priority.

Maintenance is paid monthly, in advance, using one of the following payment methods:

  • Debit or credit card
  • PayPal
  • Crypto

As stated in our service table, hosting is entirely optional; however, if you choose to use it, there is no additional cost for it.

Before you can benefit from our hosting, we will need to assess your store and its traffic to determine eligibility. If your store is extremely large or receives high traffic, it may require a dedicated server just for you, in which case it wouldn’t be covered under this plan.

Our hosting follows a reasonable use policy, meaning it’s limited to a single PrestaShop or WordPress store, and not for hosting multiple websites. We set the parameters of this policy and will inform you of all the details after evaluating your site.

Our hosting specifications are as follows:

Disk Space: 40GB (NVMe)

Cores: 1.5

RAM: 1-2GB (scales with demand)

Email Accounts: 15

Maximum Mailbox Size: 2GB per mailbox

Databases: 3

FTP Accounts: 3

Shell/SSH Access: Not included

We use our own servers, and a dedicated systems engineer oversees the security of your data, website, backups, and all those technical details that can make a big difference when a serious issue arises.

We implement rolling backups, which means we make daily backups of your store and retain 60 copies from the last 60 days. Additionally, we perform a weekly backup and keep three additional copies, so if anything happens to your store, you’ll always be able to restore a recent backup with minimal data loss.

In that case, your hosting would have an additional cost. This is why we first need to evaluate your store to understand its storage and resource requirements. Based on this assessment, we’ll determine if you can use the hosting included with the maintenance plan or if an upgrade is necessary.

Absolutely! Among many other services, though SEO is not included in our maintenance plans. SEO is a complex task that requires time and an investment on your part. If you think your  online store needs SEO, reach out to us, and we’ll sit down together (virtually speaking) to discuss it and propose a solution tailored to your needs.

Over the years, we’ve gained extensive experience and built a solid collection of modules for both PrestaShop and WordPress.

We make significant investments in purchasing new modules every month to meet the needs of nearly any project.

However, we don’t offer a list or repository of modules for download and installation. This is for several reasons, but primarily because experience has shown us that, regardless of your online store, one of the main priorities should be minimizing the number of installed modules. The more modules you have, the greater the chance of errors and incompatibility issues.

So, the process is very simple: you let us know what functionality you need for your online store, and if we have the module, we’ll install it, configure it, and have it ready for use.

No, the license belongs to us. You can legally benefit from the module under the GPL license, but the developer’s license remains ours and will not be transferred. However, this is not an issue, as long as you have a maintenance plan with us, we’ll ensure all your modules are kept up-to-date, so your online store is always running with the latest improvements.

You’ll keep the modules we’ve installed and configured for you; however, you won’t receive any updates. To get updates, you would need to re-subscribe to at least one month of maintenance. Another option is to purchase the licenses for the modules yourself to obtain future updates.

No. Both PrestaShop and WordPress (WooCommerce) have translation systems, but it depends on your catalog, categories, content, theme, and other factors. We offer base prices for adding languages to your site and methods to automate translations, helping you make your website multilingual at very affordable rates. Just ask us!
